Completed in March 2014, the Gary Yochum, Sr. Law Enforcement Complex is under the direct command of Major Fairbanks. This 118-bed facility has all modern security systems, medical services, holding cells, suicide watch, and four isolation cells as well as an intoxication tank. Included in the design is a secure sally port for inmate intake, and an interior visitation area, with a phone extension at each window for conversations. A courtroom with seating is located in the front part of the building for convenience of Magistrate, Probate and Superior Court hearings. A classroom for employee training which seats 32 is located in the secure area near the modern laundry and state of the art kitchen. The entire complex is monitored by cameras 24 hours a day and the area is well lighted with fencing in place to contain detainees and protect the public.
